Flatliner – Flatline (1995 Jungle/Drum & Bass)
The year is 1994 and the awesome combination of Flatliner & Ant Miles gave life to the infamous tracks ‘The Big Bang’ / ‘No Boundaries’. Release number 9 on RAM records tore up sound systems at every Rave in the country. A follow up was on the cards and ‘Flatline’ was born. Put to one side to make way for the Big Bang/No Boundaries remixes, somehow it never resurfaced again.. until now! Had it been released in 1995 it would have surely been a staple part of Jungle sets worldwide. Tearing amens, big bass lines and Flatliner’s trademark soundscapes are the formula to this previously unheard and unreleased gem.
A similar story evolved for Just Stop. Leaked on Beatport for a very short period a few years back, which is where you may have heard this one before. To the masses, it is still an unknown entity. A track made in the latter part of 1995, Flatliner comes with yet another amen monster, but this time taking things on more of a rolling Drum & Bass vibe. A golden nugget to own on vinyl for any true Jungle/Drum & Bass fan.
Available early summer 2019 on a limited vinyl run only, as part of Liftin Spirit Records 25th Anniversary reboot.
