Introductory intertitle reads: “South of Djebel-Bou-Arfa in Morocco, amongst bare valleys, the white man searches for the valuable Manganese ore.“ Panning shot of the landscape. L/S of lorries approaching the camera along a dusty road. Men sit in the back of the pick-up trucks. “Old picks and modern drills tear out the hillside, contrasting queerly with the age-old garb of the workers - “ M/S of group of men working on the hillside. Various shots of the men who wear traditional dress.
