Were these gentlemen the first rappers? I recently discovered 1940s gospel / sounds / barbershop music – in particular this fantastic biblical tune called “Noah” by The Jubalaires. I decided to remix it by adding layers of bass, organ, percussion and some lo-fi melodic flavors. Hope you like it!
Original recording of “Noah”:
Recording and footage originally from the Prelinger Archives.
The Jubalaires: John Jennings, Orville Brooks, George McFadden, Ted Brooks.
