Prince George (1932)

Full title reads: “Leeds. Prince George - has a real Yorkshire welcome during crowded day’s visit to see all phases of industrial & civic life of the great City.“ Leeds, Yorkshire. Prince George, the Duke of Kent is shown around a factory. Two men pour molten metal from crucible while to young looking boys watch. The boys then move in to check the hot metal. Prince George and party look on at another process. Prince George visits what looks like a workshop for enamelling baths. Pan from the Prince to men enamelling bath. The one pouring on the powder has covered his nose and face with a scarf. Nice shots of the process. The men move the bath tub into an industrial oven for heating. Prince George sits as a man makes a speech. Behind them is a Union Jack flag. The man hands over a small gift, a souvenir of the visit. People clap as the Prince gets up to accept.
