How many injections will we need to have next year?

Receiving an injection was, until a year ago, an occasional event for most adults. Many people might go for years on end without a hypodermic needle featuring in their lives. This has now changed and the majority of the British population have had at least two injections this year. Is this a portent of our future way of life?
