The village display is one of my favorites! You can put it anywhere. You don’t have to display it in front of the garage. The base supports and holds it up, and the mountains act as a backdrop for the light to bounce light from. You can customize the width by making it a shorter or longer display - just remove or add segments of the template till you have your desired display.
