Russia: Putin visits arms manufacturer in Nizhny Novgorod

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited one of Russia’s most prominent arms manufacturers, the VKO Almaz-Antey factory in Nizhny Novgorod, on Tuesday. The factory, which was opened in 2015, manufactures the S-400, S-500 and 50R6 Vityaz anti-aircraft missile systems as well as the radar complex Nebo-M. During his visit, Putin was presented with a copy of the key to the Nebo-M, nicknamed the ‘Key of Heaven’, because the word ‘Nebo’ means ‘Heaven’ in Russian.
