the fourth stop of the 2023 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series saw the elite divers touch down in Japan for the first time since its last visit in 2016. This time around, it was the sacred site of Takachiho Gorge in the south-west of the country that hosted the men’s and women’s competition. In Round 1, the Required Dives were performed directly from the rocks over the Manai Waterfall into the sacred waters of the Gokase River below.
