Colorado Springs shooter sentenced to life in prison for nightclub mass shooting

Standing before a Colorado judge on Monday, the key suspect in the 2022 Colorado Springs nightclub mass shooting pleaded guilty to five counts of first degree murder and 46 counts of attempted murder. Each of the counts were for guests attending Club Q, an LGBTQ2 nightclub, on the night of the shooting on Nov. 19, 2022. The suspect also pleaded no contest to two hate crimes, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor. Following their plea, 23-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich was sentenced to life in prison.
