Item title reads - The herring harvest and annual “invasion“ of Scottish Fisher lasses is now in full swing. Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. L/S of all the fishing boats in the dock, the camera pans across to men unloading the catch on the harbour. M/S as they swing the baskets off the boats and carry them off. M/S as they empty them onto the large pile of herrings on the side. M/S of the ladies stood at a long bench, they slit and gut the fish, various shots as they work and throw the fish into baskets behind them. M/S as they carry the baskets across the docks. C/Us of the women doing their work. C/Us of the women gutting the fish, they run about with the baskets. Men stand by empty baskets, the camera pans across to the fishing boats.
