Warships of the Royal Navy on manoeuvres off Seaford, East Sussex. Full titles read: “ENGLAND INVADED ! - Thousands of holidaymakers enjoy thrills of a ’little war’ complete with battleships, tanks, aeroplanes etc, etc.“ L/S of smoke billowing from warship. L/S’s of naval officers on the deck of warship. L/S’s of numerous officers being towed away in several lifeboats. L/S of the lifeboats approaching the coast while to large warships can be seen in the background. L/S of the numerous sailors wading through the water pulling the life rafts. Several shots of people climbing out of the boats and wading through the sea onto the shore. The events are watched by people on the shore.
