Greece: Wildfires rage in urban areas north of Athens

Subscribe to our channel! Wildfires reached a residential area near Athens on Tuesday as firefighters tried to tame the rapidly expanding blaze. Since Monday, Greece has been experiencing what Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis defined as the ’worst heatwave in 30 years.’ With temperatures hitting 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees F), fires have broken out across the country, including in the suburbs north of the Greek capital.
