Megaman 9 and reach for the stars

It’s finally here. Sorry for the long wait. I wanted to make a few more drawings before publishing this. So what did I do here? Well, this is what I did at the christmas concert. I came up with this idea way back in july when I thought to myself: Let’s make a medly of all 8 songs from the robot masters! But the piano and cello you hear playing isn’t me. The one playing the piano is my friend Claudia who helped me write the music in Sibelius. We did Galaxyman, but then I decided to write the rest of the songs by myself. Jewelman, Magma and Plugman didn’t have music paper. So I had to listen 1000000 times to those songs and find out the notes to write them down. You see, I noticed something in the songs. You hear the bass, the melody and a second melody that acts as a duo voice. I thought that it would be more creative and beautifull to let the cello and piano switch at times. The cello takes over the melody while the piano plays the other two parts. The one who plays the cello is my cello teacher. You may have noticed that the tempa has changed majorly. That’s because if we tried to play it on the origonal tempo, it would be IMPOSSIBLE. Claudia had made some adjustments to make it sound more piano like. Reach for the stars is played by my cello teacher and by me. I did the guitar and wrote the cover myself. The christmas concert went very well and we had tons of laughs. I even gave a small speech to all the people watching to let them know who I am and what they were about to see. The other people who did their thing were awesome too. I was incharge of showing the pictures on the huge screen so I was in the technician room. c: Now I’m finally done with this project. But that doesn’t mean I’m done with making music.
