Piriformis syndrome, also known as pseudo sciatica, is a literal pain in the butt. It can also irritate the near by sciatic nerve causing pain, numbness, and tingling down the leg, calf, and foot.
The main cause of this is weakness in the glutes and piriformis muscles that allows tension, tightness, and spasms to build.
