The Joy Of Batty Diversity

When we think of bats we generally don’t think to much about the uniqueness of each individual. Black flying-foxes can be anything from jet black to having silver flecks throughout their coat and some have magnificent golden ruffs whilst others have ruffs that are barely discernible. Grey-headed flying-foxes can range from silver blonde to a very distinguished almost black fur with all hues on the spectrum represented. Pteropid species are individual and diverse with no two individuals appearing exactly the same. To use this video in a commercial player or in broadcasts, please email licensing@
