How to Draw and Paint RIVER DAISIES with Acrylics - Beginner Paint and Sip at Home - Art Tutorial

PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – Want to learn how to paint flowers with acrylic paint? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint a pair of purple daisies down by the river with their reflection in the water—a beautiful landscape and flower painting “RIVER DAISIES”. Symbolizing new beginnings, the daisy is a wonderful way to welcome in the new year. Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? I sure did. I do every year. But did you know that 43% of all New Year resolutions fail within a month. I’m sure there are many factors to people’s inability to stick to a goal, but a big reason is because people make unattainable goals. Sure, these personal goals are made with good intentions, but setting too high of a goal may just set you up for failure. I’ve learned over the many years of trial and error to be realistic and to keep it simple. For example, don’t make a resolution to work out six times a week, rather, just set a goal to work out more. Or, instead of saying that you’re going to stop eating fried food, simply make it a goal to eat less. That’s the key—make attainable goals you truly know you can achieve, and you’ll be happier for it. For me, I made a really simple and easily attainable goal to just paint as much as I can. So, join me and paint these beautiful iconic flowers and celebrate the beginning of a new year and all the hope and promise that come with it! The painting process is so simple to follow. First, you’ll learn how to paint a background using soft and vibrant colors to capture the viewer’s attention and bring them into the calm and serene landscape. Then, after learning how to draw an outline for your flowers, you’ll apply a simple base coat to work off of. Then you’ll learn how to paint foliage and a river giving your daisies the perfect place to rest. The daisies will come alive with the vines, stems and leaves that drape over the water, casting its own reflection. You’ll learn how to create dimension in the shape of the flowers, stems, leaves and petals with a simple layering technique to create contour highlights and shadows that will define the small details. You’ll also learn how to create dramatic depth in the background with an easy blended gradient. When painting the flower petals, stems and leaves you’ll learn to use both a one brushstroke technique and a carefree impressionistic style to create high contrast in the color variations and tonal values. Use your imagination and customize this to resemble your favorite type of flowers, like roses, irises, lavender, hydrangeas, daffodils, pansies or camellias. The point is to just have fun with it! With the enchanting narrative storybook fantasy that this painting represents, you’ll be able to paint this image that will be a little magical and realistic at the same time, making for a beautiful painting to decorate your home all year round with. Using only 3 brushes and 6 colors, you’ll paint like a professional! Have a date night at home, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun or for art therapy. It’s an easy art project.
