In Memory of Alexandrov Ensemble

This video is dedicated to 64 members of the Alexandrov Russian Army Song and Dance Ensemble, who died in the Russian Tupolev Tu-154 airplane crash over Black Sea on December 25th, 2016. The loss of the Alexandrov Ensemble is a big national tragedy for the Russian people, who were so proud of this choir, one of the most famous and beloved choirs in Russia and all over the world. It is also a big loss for Americans, who cherish memories of their performances. One of the performances in US is included in this video, which was recorded at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC in 1989. Alexandrov Ensemble, Russian and American dances, Washington National Choir, Gospel Choir, Children’s Choir – are all on ONE stage at the Kennedy Center singing “God Bless America” and U.S. First Lady Barbara Bush applauds on the balcony.
