Woman Relives Harrowing Ordeal of Being Locked In Coffin-Like Box for 7 Years

The story of hitchhiker known as “The Girl in the Box“ will have her story told in a new Lifetime movie. In May 1977, Colleen Stan, was 20 years old when she was picked up hitch-hiking in California by a couple and kidnapped. Her abductor was a lumber mill worker, Cameron Hooker. She is speaking out about what it was like to be imprisoned for 7 years in a coffin-like box, tortured, and brainwashed. The film, Girl in the Box, airs Saturday on the network. #InsideEdition
