Kali Diaries- Entry #10 Game of Death

The tenth entry to Lauren Mary Kim’s diary log of her journey through the world of Filipino Martial Arts. Paying homage to Bruce Lee’s Game of Death- fighting in some of the martial arts I have trained in; Silat, Tae Kwon Do, and wushu, fighting Jimmy Chhiu, Mickey Facchinello, and Amy Johnston respectively. Sijo Bruce Lee passed during the filming of Game of Death. Many may not know that originally the Pagoda fight was supposed to be more than what was released and each of the 5 levels of the pagoda Sijo Lee was supposed to fight a master in a different martial arts. At the base of the pagoda the 5 were suppose to fight 20 stuntmen in karate outfits fighting in a common style of martial arts. Then inside the pagoda the 1st floor he was to fight a kicking master Hwang In’ Shik 2nd floor he was to fight a master of close range combat 3rd floor he fought a master of weapons which was played by my instructor Guro Dan Inosanto 4th floor he was to fight a master of joint technologie
