BZ Community Class - Jonathan Platero - Solo

MEET JONATHAN Jonathan Platero was born on May 24, 1988 to a family of 5 boys. His mother quickly recognized the talent Jonathan was capable of and enrolled him in his first gymnastics class at age 8. His dreams of being an Olympic gymnast came to an end when he was 15. He decided to take what he learned and enhance by taking salsa classes with his parents. He breezed through all levels quickly becoming part of Salsa Heats Jr. team. Competing only two months after starting salsa, he wanted to expand his technique with other styles of dance. Jonathan began training in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. By the time Jonathan was 17, he had already won titles including World Undisputed Salsa Champion and was the head choreographer for Salsa Heats Pro Team, taking them to the top team finalist in the world.
