Woah Dude

*** The video unfortunately requires a bitrate much larger than accepted on this platform to look nice. Best viewed in 4k of course, but the video quality is still poor. *** This is a “celebration“ of this channels presently most viewed video, Ellipse-billiard simulation, which recently passed one million views. This is a further development of the ellipse billiard, where 200k (100k, second part) particles, normally distributed in position and speed, moves in an elliptic domain. The color indicates the speed of the particles, where red ones are the fastest. Inspired by the, in my opinion, much underrated YT channel György Frank, and in particular the video Music by @gpcbass! The song is called “Fjäriln vingad“, originally written by Carl Michael Bellman (1740-1795). This is a very well known song in Sweden, and perhaps also in other parts of the world (?). Done in Python and FFmpeg.
