Shoji Nishio Sensei Omori Ryu

In May 1989, Nishio Sensei (December 5, 1927 -- March 15, 2005) gave iaido instructions on the Omori Ryu at the Venice Japanese Community Center in Southern California. Nishio Sensei’s background includes aikido (8th dan), iaido (7th dan), judo (6th dan), karate (5th dan), jodo, jojutsu, and sojutsu. For his contribution to the spread of aikido, Nishio Sensei received the prestigious Budo Kyoryusho award from the Japanese Budo Federation in 2003.
