Not breakcore. The difference between drum & bass and breakcore is very simple. Listen to this album, and then listen to Alec Empire’s “The Destroyer“ - it’s on whatever streaming service you use, and it *is* breakcore. @ZombieflesheaterZFE’s channel also has lots of breakcore. You will notice none of it sounds like this.
D&B and breakcore are two of the many genres subcultures built around breakbeats. Learning the language used to describe them means learning how to find them, which means you get to listen to them! You like listening to stuff with cool drums in it, right? So why not learn how to talk about it, too? (Look into broken beat, breakstep, drumfunk; it’s all great stuff.)
Thinking you’re too cool to care doesn’t make you right, either.
