One, a hulking male with a mane of silver fur, shrieked a challenge, his dark eyes fixing on the raptor. The eagle fight was inevitable. The eagle circled, its keen eyes scanning for an opening. The monkeys, led by the silver-haired sentinel, bunched together, their chattering rising in a crescendo. This wasn’t the first eagle fight the troop had faced. The silverback reacted with lightning speed. He launched himself from a branch, a furry projectile aimed directly at the attacking eagle. The eagle fight was now a chaotic ballet in the sky. The surprised raptor twisted to avoid the furry missile, its wings buffeting the air. The monkey, however, missed his mark, landing with a thud on a lower branch.
