Documentary on the collection of automatons, automata and androids of the Museum of Neuilly / Seine.

This film is presented to you by Lutèce Créations, the European specialist in music boxes and automatons. Our company offers, through its Parisian shop and its websites, various old (from the end of the 19th century until the First World War) and vintage (50s to the 70s) automatons. This documentary, “L’âme au corps“ (the soul to the body) presents the rich collection of the museum of automata in Neuilly sur Seine in the suburbs of Paris. In 1978, the city of Neuilly sur Seine acquired the Jacques Damiot’s collection of automatons (63 mechanical automatons). The collection has since been completed by 6 automatons bought in public sale between 1993 and 1996. The automatons (or automata) exhibited in the museum of Neuilly sur Seine give an overview of the French manufacture of mechanical automatons from 1850 until 1930 (the automata makers were Vichy, Théroude, Lambert, Phalibois, Roullet-Decamps, Renou etc ...).
