Archispirostreptus gigas (Giant African Millipede) Close-up

Cute millipedes doing cute things. I find this strangely relaxing. A. gigas is the probably largest extant millipede growing more than 35 cm (13.7 in) long. The ones showns here aren’t nearly that size yet, at the time of recording they are about 10 -12 cm (4 - 4.7 in) long. Adults of this species have slightly more than 500 legs, juveniles have less due to their anamorphic development, they gain additional segments and legs every molt.
