Wake - Confluence (Full EP)

When Calgary metal act Wake first came onto the scene in 2010, they played a very straightforward style of grindcore. However, throughout the years they slowly started throwing in elements of death metal, black metal, sludge, doom, atmospheric, and even post metal.  After releasing Devouring Ruin in 2020 (my AOTY for that year for what it’s worth), these guys surprise dropped this three-song EP a few months later through Translation Loss.
