SIEGE 2014 Artificial Neural Networks

Join the GGDA at Thanks to Zane Everett for this clear and concise overview of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs). Used to make computers do all sorts of neat things (medical diagnosis, driving a car, recognizing a face, etc.), ANNs allow computers to not only recognize patterns of input by modeling how the human brain works but also change the computer’s understanding of a pattern when presented with new information. What if video game agents could utilize this power? This talk explored what ANNs are and how they can be utilized in video games to create agents that adapt to player input.
