Balbo’s fleet makes Metropolis starting point of return flight.“ New York, United States of America. Air to air views of group of planes flying above New York. Closer shot shows that they are sea planes. Shots of local fascists giving salute. Views of the flotilla of seaplanes coming in to land. A small launch comes into a quay, men in Italian air force come on shore. Marshal Italo Balbo, Italian politician and aviator, is driven in an open top car past crowds. Title reads: “New York Hails Balbo On Eve Of Return Hop.“ American voiceover. Italian and the Stars and Stripes flags hang above street as Balbo and his group of fliers are given a ticker tape parade along Lower Broadway.
