Left-wing protesters hold an annual rally in Berlin on Sunday, January 9, to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the murders of communist leaders Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. In 1919, Luxemburg and Liebknecht were shot dead by members of the far-right German Freikorps paramilitary militia in Berlin.
