How To Paint Simple, Beautiful Watercolour Hollyhocks, loose watercolor flower tutorial Floral Demo
I’m continuing to try to learn how to paint loose flowers, and today I’m painting some beautiful old fashioned Hollyhocks using just 3 colours, all Cotman tube paints in Gamboge hue, Lemon yellow and Ultramarine blue. But Hollyhocks come in all sorts of beautiful colours, so use any you like!
I use various brushes, see video, but use whichever brushes you are most comfortable with. My paper is 100% cotton Saunders Waterford, cold pressed, 11“ x 15“/28cm x 38cm. Thanks for watching, and happy painting!
