Stanley Myers’ Cavatina is such a brilliantly haunting tune. What’s often slightly overlooked is the remarkable contrast of its use in the 1978 movie “The Deer Hunter“. Its lasting popularity on the guitar is thanks to the original arrangement by John Williams, who also recorded it for the movie soundtrack.
