Why residents of a Siberian mining town tried to come to Canada
Residents of a mining town in Siberia asked Canada for help two years ago to save them from poverty and constant pollution, but Ottawa said it couldn’t help. Since then, the residents say they’ve given up hope and they’ve been forgotten by their own government.
