Second full-length from this London based trio, and definitely a progression from their already killer debut self-titled album.
Carrying the flames of the 90s, which are indeed fading into oblivion in this day and age, Kasturn deliver over 40 minutes of cold and blistering atavism, thrusting its blade against the throat of modernity.
Highly influence by the Finnish hordes of late 90s and early 00s, as well as projects like Mütiilation and even with some moments of solar and melodic bliss that reminisce with Eisenwinter, and some passages of devotional introspection of Branikald on the excellent “Stilling of the End“, this album is a clear step up in songwriting and variety, without ever conceding an inch against revisionism and futile gimmicks. Pure pagan power and worship.
Mastered by M.O. of The 333 Guard and to be released on tape via Unmatched Dominance. Digital already out via bandcamp.
