Your Best Friend Ralsei [⚠️Warning: Flashing Lights⚠️] [Deltarune 3D Clay-Style Animation]

⚠️WARNING: FLASHING LIGHTS/VIOLENCE⚠️ Ralsei, your fluffy prince of darkness and partner in crime! I’ve been holding onto this idea of Ralsei undergoing a Sailor Moon-like magical boy transformation for a while now, but it’s only until now that I finally got around to actually making it into a short animated segment. Consider it a pre-Happy Halloween! 🌻 A lot of people compared my 3D style to claymation, a type of animation which I have so much respect for, so I decided to go full stop-motion with this one. This involved coming up with a good way to fake a clay look in 3D and animating at a lower, choppier frame rate. I also dabbled with geometry nodes for the glitter and did some procedural glow effects to make him ✨shiny✨ and beautiful. The hardest part was to render and comp everything in a way that looks good and convincing. It’s my first time properly using DaVinci Resolve’s compositing program Fusion, but I definitely learned a lot and will deffo use it for future animated content.
