In this video, I assemble the avionics for DIAMOND-X, my actively controlled model rocket. The avionics include the GPS antenna, datalink radio, cameras, fin servos, and wiring. All of that connects to the flight computer, which is the rocket’s brain. Up next in this series, we paint the airframe, do ground tests, and build the boosters that will launch the Block 3 version of this rocket higher and faster than ever.
