Can the Panasonic Lumix S1 (S1R) focus?

Panasonic has decided to continue to use DFD (contrast only) autofocus system on the S1 and S1R while all of it’s competitors are using hybrid phase/contrast detection. Can the Panasonic Lumix S1 actually autofocus? I’ve shot some side by side test with the Nikon Z6 and show you the results in this video.
