This episode from the TV series “America!” looks at the attractions in Cape Cod as well as some of the famous people that live and visit there. The show includes famous historical monuments, such as those dedicated to the Pilgrims. There is a strong focus on maritime culture, such as fisherman going out to see and people in their boats. The viewer is also introduced to the extensive art gallery options. Finally, there is a look at some of the artisan stores including a candle maker, a glass jewelry maker, and a wooden bird maker. There are also interviews with some famous personalities from and visiting Cape Cod such as the Admiral Donald MacMillan and the humorist Abe Burrows. The film ends with a segment about Storyland, an amusement park located in Hyannis. The nine-acre park boasted miniature buildings and other whimsical exhibits.
