Star Trek -- Kobayashi Maru

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Admiral Kirk’s past comes back to bite him when the group of 20th century genetically engineered supermen that he sentenced to exile on planet Ceti Alpha V manage to escape aboard the USS Reliant. Their leader, Khan Noonien Singh is singularly motivated by his lust for revenge on Kirk, a threat compounded further by him having recently taken possession of a radical experiment, the Genesis device; a system designed to create life yet through misuse would certainly destroy it. We are introduced to the Vulcan Lieutenant Saavik, one of Spock’s protégés. Working her way through Starfleet’s command program, Saavik is given the opportunity to assume the role of captain for a bridge simulation to see how she copes with the Kobayashi Maru mission, a famous training scenario that’s near impossible to beat.
