100 years of looking ahead

100 years of connecting police. 100 years of identifying criminals. 100 years of looking ahead. INTERPOL has grown from 20 countries in 1923, to 195 member countries today, becoming the global voice of law enforcement. From the call for central points of contact in 1927, to today’s global network of National Central Bureaus, providing assistance and coordination to member countries. From our first radio network in 1935 to a secure online system today, taking police information to the frontlines, making a difference on the ground. From the first Red Notice in 1947, to our full range of crime-related alerts. From a clear need to centralize international records to 19 databases today. Police around the world can work together to identify criminals, goods and victims. From physical borders to the virtual world. Today’s police needs to analyse digital trends and big data, and shape police leadership to fight tomorrow’s crimes. Because as our history has shown, the changes we call for today will transform the next 100 years of policing. #INTERPOL100 #ForASaferWorld #INTERPOL #PoliceCooperation
