Intertitle reads: “Making floral decorations for festive parties is an interesting pastime“.
The flowers are made from crinkly paper and wire. A woman sits at a table and cuts floral shapes from crepe paper. These are then threaded on to a piece of wire to create a chrysanthemum. The petals are curled by means of a sharp tool. A daffodil is then made. The woman arranges some of her paper flowers in a vase.
An intertitle reads: “The flowers that bloom on the stage - tra la -“. This is followed by shots of women with bizarre head dresses representing flowers - stepping through a large frame. This is the same setting as “Picture Frocks in Stageland“ so is presumably part of the revue “Put & Take“ (see record for “Picture Frocks in Stageland“). The second head-dress is opened out in C/U to reveal the woman’s face inside the petals (lovely shot!).
Darning wool is used to make the centre of a poppy. C/U of poppy being made.
