In today’s tutorial I will teach how to easily create your own 3D text effect in adobe illustrator. This video is perfect for beginner designers getting to know the program and also more advanced designers who would like to know a little more about custom type in Illustrator. I will show you step by step how to outline your text, unite the shapes using the pathfinder and most importantly how I use the blend tool to create the 3D effect. I will then show you how to apply colours and shadows with the gradient tool using colours from my colour palette. And finally I will show you how I use the drop shadow feature to give it that stylish 3D effect.
