Bodycam Shows Officers Shooting Kneeling Suspect in Back As He Holds Gun

The caller said a man had been shot and was running away. Patrol officers arrived a short time later and found a 29-year-old man a block away who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition. Witnesses provided a suspect vehicle description and direction of travel. The San Diego Police helicopter found a vehicle matching the description given by witnesses and directed officers into the area.
