Mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre is joined by soprano Véronique Gens in three scenes from Les Amazones by 18th-century composer André Danican Philidor, with the ensemble Jupiter and Thomas Dunford: an opening instrumental march is followed by one recitative from each character, Thalestris and Hippolyte, before closing in a victorious duet.
