David Attenborough On Hong Kong’s Biodiversity | Garden In The Sky | Earth Stories

In this episode of Garden in the Sky, we learn about how Kadoorie Farm is protecting and restoring Hong Kong’s biodiversity. We get an up close view of the endangered Aquilaria tree, a resin-rich tree has been used for making incense many years, with its smoke believing to carry the prayers of the faithful up to the Gods. Because of this, these trees are becoming increasingly rare due to over harvesting, with some of them on the protected slopes of Kadoorie Farm. We see what other species of trees including the Aquilaria the Kadoorie Farm protects, as well as their unique approaches for gathering seeds and growing young trees to keep foster biodiversity.
