Pathe’s Radio Music Hall Reel 4 (1938)

Continued - see reels 1, 2 and 3. Reel 4. Mr and Mrs Robinson Cleaver perform a duet at the Organ - a large Wurlitzer style machine. Then Mr Cleaver plays a grand piano and Mrs Cleaver plays the Wurlitzer in a duet. C/U of the inside of the piano with keys hitting the strings. The piano has a mirror above the keyboard so that we can see Mr Cleaver. Last act is Cyril Fletcher. He tells jokes about oysters and ostriches. He recites an ode - “Dreaming of Thee“ about fish and chips and one of his fans. Note: this film originally contained a sequence at the beginning of reel 4 showing Beryl Davis singing with George Posford at the piano (“My Very First and Only Rendezvous“.
