Spider-Man: Lotus - BUTCHER’S CUT | FAN MADE 1HR RE-EDIT

I love this Spider-Man Lotus fan film (directed by Gavin J Konop and starring Warden Wayne). So much so that I decided it deserved a shorter cut that appeals to a broader audience. Which I think makes this the first FAN EDIT of a FAN FILM. The film works really well for the fan who is already invested in Spider-Man, but for the average person, the most common critique I hear is that it is too long. Let me say again I actually prefer the official cut out on Gavin’s channel now, I liken it to an extended edition, but I wanted to respond to the critiques I have been hearing all over the internet. The goal was to make the story more simply about Peter and to try and interrupt the Tim Harrison scenes less. Here are the edits: -cut ’excessive’ city shots -cut opening credits -reordered gwen’s death to reveal what happened at beginning of movie -got rid of ’shocker suit’ quip -shortened Peter being mean to MJ at cemetery -cut Harry and Peter’s argument–Harry stays missing until the end -cut dream sequence -cut laptop sequence -cut Harry’s arc -cut Spider-Man brooding in rain -cut MJ’s arc (Flash Scene Gwen flashback) -reordered green goblin fight scene and made whole thing B&W -less of Peter ’trauma dumping’ on Tim -cut origin -reordered terminal illness reveal to better fit comic I wish I could have kept in scenes like Spider-Man brooding on top of the bridge, the dream sequence, laptop sequence, and I am actually a big fan of Harry and MJ’s arcs, but like I said–this is the butcher’s you for watching true believers and give the original film a watch if you haven’t already!
