Live: Danish Queen Margrethe II abdicates after 52 years on throne

Denmark’s Queen Margrethe and Crown Princess Frederik arrive at Christiansborg palace, the seat of the Danish parliament, where she will officially abdicate and hand the throne to her son. Frederik will be proclaimed as King from a balcony overlooking crowds in Christiansborg square by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
