Kiyomizu-dera - Kyoto - 清水寺 - 8K

Located in the heart of Kyoto, Kiyomizu-dera is one of Japan’s most famous and celebrated temples thanks to its iconic 13-meter high wooden stage with a unique view. Founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa waterfall, Kiyomizu-dera literally means, “Pure Water Temple.” It was originally associated with the Hosso sect, one of Japan’s old Buddhism sects until 1965 when it formed its own Kita Hosso sect. While many prefer to enjoy the wooden structure Kyomizu-dera, its most important aspect, the Otowa waterfall is extremely popular and still available to all. Indeed, the Otowa waterfall is divided into three distinct streams with unique properties; to cause longevity, success at school, and a fortunate love life. Note however that while one could drink from all three streams, doing so is considered greedy. #Kyoto #Kiyomizudera #8K To Subscribe to this Channel, click here!! : For any questions, inquiries or if you are looking to acquire some o
