A Practical Test (1923)

Title - ’A practical test. 1250 men used to test stability of new Stadium’. Wembley Stadium, Greater London / Middlesex. Wide shot as a lot of men file into a section of the stands; each row filling up simultaneously. They all stand waiting for a cue; then all sit down at once. Closer shot (from just below looking up at an angle) of the crowd of men all standing at once. Switches back and forth between these two angles as the men stand swaying back and forth; then all stamp their feet. While doing this they all start cheering; some waving; etc. All this synchronised action is to put the maximum stress on the structure to make sure it will hold up during a real match.
